We are making the final tests on the WINRAD-RX, the HF+6m Receiver based on the SDR-X from I0CG Giuliano, before starting with the stock production next January 2007. The Winrad-RX is a SDR receiver devoted to I2PHD's software, using an exclusive software extension based on a DLL, that performs tuning, band change, preselector tune and antenna selector directly from Winrad. This extension is available from Alberto I2PHD (thank you, Alberto).
The Winrad-RX is composed by these four modules:
- Main receiver board
- HF Preselector board
- DDS AD9951 board (SFDR > 80 dBc and a phase noise > 130 dBc/Hz at 1kHz)
- 500Mhz external oscillator board (DDS up to 200Mhz)
Frequency range : 1.8 - 30 MHz + 50 Mhz (with the 500Mhz DDS version)
Preselector, with autotuning over all the HF band
Dedicated antenna connector for the 6m band, with its own dedicated filter
11dB preamplifier switch
10dB attenuator optionally insertable
QSD (Quadrature Sampling Detector) type mixer
Post mixer amplifier with 0.8 nV/sqrt(Hz) noise and > 40dB gain
I/Q outputs on a stereo 3.5mm connector for the PC sound card
Sensitivity : MDS better than 125 dBm (500 Hz bandwidth)
IP3: >= 20db.
Image frequency rejection > 60 dB (with a properly adjusted PC software)
