This year's conference will feature some of the best ideas and projects from around the world. Guest speakers will lead the conversation about the future of media.
Topics on the agenda will include internet radio, interactivity and podcasting. Distinguished speakers will address issues such as developing content for youth audiences, new trends in user metrics and the impact on traditional broadcasting of social networks.
MMR09 is an important networking event for producers, webmasters, journalists, developers and new media executives. It is an opportunity for learning from the experience of others, exchanging ideas and sharing expertise.
For the first time, the most innovative content presented at MMR09 will be submitted to the jury responsible for the new media category of Spain's prestigious Premios Ondas. The awards, which go back more than half a century, pay tribute to excellence in media.
The EBU is the largest association of national broadcasters in the world with 75 active members and 45 associate members. The EBU helps public service broadcasters to deliver unique high quality programming to their audiences.
The EBU offers members technical, operational and legal services, and coordinates a growing supply of quality content for radio, television and new platforms.
The Radio Department is active in a number of key areas, including sport, news, international broadcasting, new media and music. Each year the Radio Department coordinates the transmission of hundreds of sport fixtures and major news events, while the Euroradio network relays 2,500 concerts and operas.
