Trailblazing Media Executives Steve Lehman and Andy Schuon Launch ''C'' Student Entertainment

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Two of radio and entertainment's most successful and experienced executives are about to bring the world's most influential blogger to global radio audiences. Steve Lehman, founder and former chairman and CEO of Premiere Radio Networks and Andy Schuon, former Head of Programming of MTV, MTV2, VH1, and former President of Programming of Infinity Broadcasting (now CBS Radio), today announced the launch of 'C' Student Entertainment, a boutique radio and mobile-focused media company specializing in compelling content. Their first program will star gossip blogger Perez Hilton, named the #1 Web celebrity of 2007 by Forbes Magazine.
The show will premiere on Monday, May 5, and listeners will have a chance to hear Perez Hilton twice daily with fresh updates from his enormously successful blog PerezHilton.com.
'This is the first time a superstar created on the Internet has made the transition to radio. Having someone as compelling as Perez as part of a station lineup will significantly drive listeners to radio,' said co-founder Andy Schuon.
Partner Steve Lehman added, 'Perez is as electric and entertaining on-air as he is on his blog. He's a natural talent and will register as peoplemeter-active. 'C' Student Entertainment will focus on bringing compelling personalities like Perez into radio and take advantage of cross platform opportunities on the Internet and mobile.'
Perez Hilton commented, '2008 is all about expanding the Perez brand, and one of the areas that I'm most excited about is radio. I'm looking forward to entertaining millions of people across America and around the world, everyday as only Perez Hilton can.'
Perez Hilton is the Internet's most notorious gossip columnist. The LA Times calls Perez, 'like US Weekly, the Star, the Enquirer and Life & Style all rolled into one sweet yet snarky, sagacious yet salacious gay man.' Perez was named the #1 Web celebrity for 2007 by Forbes Magazine and as one of the 15 most influential Hispanics in the US by People in Espanol.
Since launching in 2004, PerezHilton.com has become one of the leading go-to sites for celebrity news. In February 2008, eMarketer identified PerezHilton.com as one of the top 5 websites for college aged women, beating out MySpace! The UK's prestigious Observer newspaper named PerezHilton.com as one of the six most powerful blogs in the world.
Perez has become a celebrity in his own right. In 2007 he premiered his very own show, What Perez Sez on VH1.

About 'C' Student Entertainment:

The company name was inspired by a comment made by Mel Karmazin, one of Schuon's mentors, about how radio was populated by "C" students. Schuon and Lehman have worked together on a number of ventures in the past including what is now one of the largest radio networks in the country, Premiere Radio, where Lehman was founder, chairman and CEO, and Schuon served on the board of directors. While at Premiere, Lehman consolidated the majority of independent syndication companies and signed or acquired most of the talent on the air at Premiere today. While at Premiere, Lehman also made a first round investment in broadcast.com, and brought in NewsCorp as a strategic investor.
Schuon's background includes positions as Executive Vice President/Head of Programming of MTV, MTV2, and VH1, President of Programming of Infinity Broadcasting (now CBS Radio), President & CEO of on-line music service Pressplay (now Napster), Executive Vice President/General Manager of Warner Bros. Records, and founder, President & CEO of Universal Music Group's global multi-platform music business IMF: The International Music Feed which merged with the Ovation TV channel earlier this year.
